The Abbott Baerveldt Glaucoma Implant, 250 mm is specified for demanding clinical and facility environments. For use in patients (with prior vitrectomy for Pars Plana) with medically uncontrollable glaucoma and poor surgical prognosis, such as, but not limited to: neovascular glaucoma, aphakic/pseudophakic glaucoma, patients who have failed conventional surgery, congenital glaucoma and secondary glaucoma due to uveitis, epithelial downgrowth, etc. Specifications include latex-free materials.

• Combines large surface area plate with a streamlined design.
• Features include: single-quadrant insertion; bleb control mechanism to help decrease bleb height; low edge height; smooth, tumble-polished, pliable silicone plate material; and radiographic material.
• Four fenestrations help promote fibrous adhesion, which may reduce bleb height.
• Also includes an open drainage tube, fixation suture holes, and recessed knot capability.
