The Abbott for Classic Xpress Analyzers Piccolo Lipid and General Chemistry Control is specified for demanding clinical and facility environments. These controls should be run with the Abaxis Piccolo Classic and Xpress at least once per month for non-waived labs; for waived labs, controls should be run once per month or at every reagent rotor lot change, whichever comes first.

• Controls are prepared from purified human serum to which biochemical material (human and animal tissue extracts), chemicals, stabilizers and preservatives have been added.
• Prepackaged liquid form to avoid potential error or contaminate being introduced during reconstitution.
• To achieve maximum shelf life for the control kit, store unopened at a constant -20° C.
• The chemistry control can be used for up to 14 days when stored unopened at 2 to 8° C.
