• Synthetic, absorbable sutures indicated for use in general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation, including use in pediatric cardiovascular tissue, where growth is expected to occur, and in peripheral vascular surgery
• Polyglyconate design provides excellent in-vivo strength retention, knot-tying security and handling as well as minimal memory
• Sutures elicit a minimal acute inflammatory reaction in tissues, followed by gradual encapsulation of the suture by fibrous connective tissue
• Sutures retain approximately 75% of initial tensile strength at two weeks, 65% at three weeks and 50% at four weeks post-implant; absorption begins as a loss of tensile strength without appreciable loss of mass and is minimal until about 60 days after implant; absorption is essentially complete within six months
• This suture is NOT indicated for use in adult cardiovascular tissue, ophthalmic surgery, microsurgery or neural tissues; use of this suture is contraindicated in patients with known sensitivities or allergies to its components
