Key Features

• Polyglyconate design provides excellent in-vivo strength retention, knot-tying security and handling as well as minimal memory.
• Sutures elicit a minimal acute inflammatory reaction in tissues, followed by gradual encapsulation of the suture by fibrous connective tissue.
• Sutures retain approximately 75% of initial tensile strength at two weeks, 65% at three weeks and 50% at four weeks post-implant; absorption begins as a loss of tensile strength without appreciable loss of mass and is minimal until about 60 days after implant; absorption is essentially complete within six months.
• This suture is Not indicated for use in adult cardiovascular tissue, ophthalmic surgery, microsurgery or neural tissues; use of this suture is contraindicated in patients with known sensitivities or allergies to its components.
