The Medtronic Undyed Fast Braided Absorbable Suture, Velosorb, 0, 1/2 C, GS-22, 27MM, 75CM is specified for demanding clinical and facility environments. Fast braided absorbable suture for use in soft tissue approximation of the skin, mucosa and conjunctiva, where only 7-10 days of wound support is required, but not for use in ligation, cardiovascular or neurological tissue. Specifications include latex-free materials.

• Velosorb Fast absorbable braided sutures are composed of an absorbable synthetic polyester comprised of glycolide and lactide (derived from glycolic and lactic acids).
• Velosorb Fast absorbable sutures are prepared by coating the suture with a mixture of a glycolide and lactide copolymer and calcium stearate.
• Sterilization Gamma irradiation.
• The sutures are supplied sterile (Gamma irradiation), in pre-cut lengths affixed to various needle types.
