These synthetic absorbable monofilament sutures are made of polydioxanone (Pdo) and dyed violet. Specifications include latex-free materials.

Key Features

• Use them in general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation, but not in cardiovascular or neurological tissues, microsurgery or ophthalmic surgery.
• Suitable for plastic, orthopedic, gastrointestinal and OB/Gyn surgery.
• At 14 days sutures retain 80 - 90% tensile strength, 60 - 82% at 28 days, 47 - 79% at 42 days and are essentially absorbed between 180 and 220 days.
• Supplied with needles.
